cheryl: Recent events

The last two weeks have been oh so long and tiring. Since I started this new job it takes all my time and I come home exhausted to homework and the kitties. Just remembering to make appointments is a challenge. There is so much to learn and catch up on that I feel like I’m swimming in paperwork.

Tonight James and I are headed to the sports stores in the area to purchase the last of our snowboard gear for the weekend. We’re going up to the snow with Ryan and Amanda (and Janae and Craig?) on Sunday. I’ve wanted to go for so long but all I can think about is how tired I am right now :) By Sunday I should have caught up on sleep. The last two Friday’s James and I have gone to bed and slept for about 15 hours.

Maybe we’ll take the camera and take some pictures of us and the snow.

james: Nimoy Sings

Well, maybe he doesn’t sing, but Leonard Nimoy did star in a music video for the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. Shudder…

Update: There’s some other cool stuff linked to from that page.

An “All Your Base” Flash tribute

A really cool stick-man action movie

An amusing Flash demo of “Windows RG” (Really Good edition)

cheryl: New Job

I accepted a new position in the same department that I’ve been working in for a while, RIsk Management. This will be a full time job that takes up my whole day and that I’m not entirely thrilled about. I guess it’s time for me to grow up and bite the bullet. I’ve got two weeks of "freedom". Then I’ll have to retire before I will have free time again. Wonderful.

james: “English” Menu

Jeremy sent me this link to an “english” menu from an oriental restaurant. I think their translation software should be quietly tqken out back and shot.

The funniest stuff is at the bottom.

cheryl: Thursday

Well, today has been interesting in way too many ways so far. Having to clean up after a cat is never fun (OH THE SMELLS!) and then having to pick James up from work and take him home because someone over there seems to think that working during the night is ok under some circumstances. So he’s now at home sleeping while I have to work. Not only that but I’m a little stressed over a skills test I have to take for the position I’ve applied for.
