cheryl: More Nala and Kitten Pictures

These were taken two weeks ago. This is Amanda’s favorite who just happens to be a very active and advanced kitten for his age. At one week he was trying to crawl out of the bed basket. He’s going to be a little terror ;) DSC_7560

cheryl: Boredom

Out of sheer boredom I’ve decided to write something. Not much has happened lately. I bought a few new board games including Kings in the Corner that is like a multi-player version of Solitary. I’ve also read quite a few books that had some decent writing if not the best plots. Some were by Anne Bishop and the one’s I’ve just started I can’t remember the author or titles. Reading on a pda is definitely different. I’ve been using a Clie’ that has very limited battery life during the last week causing me to seek out a new pda phone, maybe a Treo like James has or a Motorola Q, probably the Treo since it has a touch screen. James and I also decided to purchase a 2008 Nissan Altima after Christmas. It has a lot of really nice features like blue tooth for cell phone and a jack for the ipod. The 2007 also has good safety ratings according to my bosses husband. Our car is testing my patients with over heating that no one seems to be able to fix. Sometime in the next 5-7 weeks we will be welcoming a new addition to the family, a little tortis shell kitten who will likely be named Cali since Ryan J. has been calling her that since birth. I’ve been torn between her a a little black and white guy with a cute white stripe up his nose and what looks like gray hairs on his sides. He’s popular with the ladies, though, and will find a home quickly. Tomorrow, class starts again for James and I. Neither of us are thrilled after a nice long summer off from the stresses of full time work plus school. Gag. Already it is difficult to resist comfort food now that Starbucks has made the Pumpkin spice available and Noah’s bagels has their Pumpkin bagel available. It all goes straight to my hips, oy. I’ve already purchase candy corn! I’m doomed! On another note James is very sweet. While he was away on his yearly Leoni trip he ordered flowers delivered to the office, multi colors of mini roses in a frosted orange vase. All the ladies were oooing and ahhing as they should. Since he worked with many of them they seem to think he’s the cat’s meow ;) I tend to agree :) Other things of note….James cousin Ben Pappas is getting married on Sept. 28. Best wishes the the bride, whom I have never met, and groom, whom I met for the first time last December. Welp, I guess I should un-bored myself…..happy week everyone.

Cheryl: Change of plans. We will not have a new addition to the family. Amanda gave Cali to a student as well as my second choice to Ryan’s mother’s friend.
